I'm planning on getting a tattoo that I drew up on my costal-sternal area right underneath my boobs. I'm planning on keeping it small-ish, but I also want to keep it big enough that it's not a pain in the ass to do and that there is room for the detail that's drawn in.
I would be interested in hearing some opinions from tattoo artist as to what would be a good size for you to work on.
Here is the mock up of the design I'm planning on:

Quite an odd portfolio this guy has got - a real mix of styles. Some of it is quite good.
No skulls or roses anywhere in his pictures . . . |

There are a few skulls but they're smaller parts of a larger piece like this one:
He obviously knows how shading works on a real skull which is something I was worried about finding. Most tattoo skulls are very stylized and I'm leaning more towards illustrative/realistic. I'm more concerned about how the skull looks in the long run, even if the one I drew isn't actually "human" the shading is very similar.

Definitely not a "normal" kind of placement, but it's one that 1) doesn't interfere with the other tattoos I'm planning on getting and 2) someplace that is very easy to hide from people who are dumb enough to be prejudice against tattoos
Out of curiosity, where would you place it? |
