| Any recommendations for sunscreen to use on tattoos? Brands, spf level, etc. I've heard all kinds of things so just trying to figure out which one to go with. |

Target brand sunscreen gets very good reviews nationally every year. I usually buy the coppertone or whatever spray bottles in a waterproof spf30+. Usually labeled as "sport" or some shit. You can usually find a 2 pack for $10-$12 bucks. I only get like 3-4 coverings a can, but I'd rather not have my tattoos re-done, so I do it. _________________

| Spf 30 is good, just need to reapply every 3 hours or so. I forget the exact number buti think it was something like spf 50 only provided a few pecentage more coverage than spf 30. So its more about applying sunscreen liberally vs the spf. Also try to stay away from oxybenzone. Zinc oxide is a lot safer. |

+1 There's been a lot of talk about oxybenzone's potentially harmful effects lately along with a few other ingredients. |

| Cool thanks. Are the sunscreens good to use on the entire body? I'd rather just throw it everywhere if I'm going to the beach than have 2 different ones for tattoos and my un inked skin. |

I use the generic Rite aid brand spf 70 on my tattoos and other areas I spend a lot of time on the water fishing and it works great with out breaking the bank. _________________

I wear ink armor sleeves w/ a loose fit UA shirt most of the time if I'm going to be out in the sun for a while. I'm usually in the water more than not so sunscreen is a waste for me. I'm pretty cautious of the sun actually. I keep a boonie hat on too when in the boat. I'm 32 and still get carded most of the time. I like having no wrinkles. Guess thats how I got a dime 24 year old wifey. |
