Okay so I had this. The blue was really looking good. All these symbols mean something to me. But I had this feeling it all need to be tied together (like the blue didn't do it enough)
I wanted to do something like this.
You know for the tribal to pull it all together.
Do you think that's a good idea? Or will it be too much black condensed black ink??
The middle chest piece has already been done.
My main question is what do you think looks better with the tribal or without? Like I said, I already started this (the chest is done), everything else will look more professional. Do you think this looks better, or do you think it looked better before? PLEASE LET ME KNOW, thats what this post is about.
The tribal is going to have a blue atheist symbol on the left shoulder, and there is going to be outer space in the background (thats why its so black on that shoulder) and the black outer space is going to turn into tribal and flow into the rest of my tribal.
There is going to be another blue symbol on my other shoulder.
What I am going for is Tribal Armor with all these meaningful symbols flowing inside of it.
The big "A" on my chest is actually my name "DAN", every letter can be seen in that symbol, I made that up when I was 8 years old. It stands for being yourself.

| Thumbs down on the tribal. Just keep getting more objects done, and then fill the empty spots with smaller tattoos or filler (stars & dots, etc). |

Stars are gay! Tribal is bad ass...
The chest piece IS done. The rest is drawn on with marker. It's going to look more professional when it's done for reals, but like I said before the chest is already done. So stars, and dots.. Are not happening.
I'm just wondering if you guys think if the tribal that is in permanent marker was professionally done if you think it's better than what it looked like before the tribal (the first picture). |

Well, you have a quote from Rambo on your chest for starters.
My honest advice would be to find a better artist and get a couple quality pieces done on each shoulder. Not tribal, maybe high quality portrait work or photo realistic... just high quality art to balance it all out, but I would not do more tribal. |

Thats not how it works when you ask for opinions. I think it sucks but I think the idea you posted in the original post is going to make it worse.
I would leave it and start work elsewhere. If you want to fill in your shoulder and upper arm between your existing tattoos I would think of what you want and let an artist help you with figuring out the best filler.

I've always liked tribal...
And I thought tribal armor would be cool.
Alright, so obviously you guys aren't Tribal fans.
Well, can someone post some pictures of better filler so I know what my other options are?
