Hey guys, I was looking around on these forums and you seem like cool cats, so I figured I'd join. Anyway, I've always been in love with art and I have recently become interested in tattoo as an expression of art and the self.
So that's the introduction from me, now at the risk of my first tattoo being torn to bits, (I've read many of your previous posts on other's tattoos), I'm going to post a pic of mine.
This was hand drawn by myself because I wanted something as unique as possible(even though keys are cliche.) I also drew a matching lock for my fiance, we wanted something to symbolize our relationship but without committing a tattoo sin by slapping our names on each other.
So finally, what do your more experienced eyes think of my first tattoo? Quality and/or Idea/Originality

| I like how you went with organic but I would have skipped the forever, or carved it in the key, or did away with it all together. The tattoo looks well done. Is it in the middle of your back running up and down? |

Yes that's exactly where it's located.
My fiance suggested carving the word into the wood, and I agreed. Unfortunately, it would not have worked for her lock so we went with the cursive. Which, although isn't the most creative or best option, was pulled off fairly well and I don't hate it. The branch on the right provides balance with the word, so it doesn't look too awfully heavy on one side. |

| I think they are done pretty well, actually. This is a much better approach to getting each other's names done. |

Not trying to be a dick, but I see the key and lock they look like genitals. Seriously. I saw the key pic and thought it looked penis-ish, then the lock came and it looks almost snatch-esque, especially one you put the whole concept in perspective. Not trying to be a dick or a troll. Just what I see.

| Haha, okay I can see the "key-penis". Especially from a distance I can see how it would look like that. Maybe I should have the artist add a little more ornamentation to the top of the key, to get rid of that suspicious round head. |

| I don't think that will happen. But obviously most people dont expect it to happen. If it ever does, the backs a prime place for an amazing back piece. But, I love her, that's a fact. |
