I lost my active duty brother two years ago serving in Iraq and I am wanting to do a memorial for him on my back....I just don't know if it is safe cause last year my exhusband broke my back and caused nerve damage. I would like to know if it is safe and also if anyone has any suggestions as to what a good tattoo would be to remember him....he afterall was my HERO!!!

i think a portrait of him in uniform might be nice, as far as the nerve damage, i don't think it will make much of a difference, tattoos aren't really applied deep enough to damage any nerve endings, might be a little more painful, but i would think that's it _________________ Jamy Carlton

I appreciate the thought I do like that idea of him in uniform.....and thanks for the response about the nerve damage....I really got scared to think what damage had been done when he broke my back.

Nerve damage would mean less pain...

If you know anyone in his unit I recommend asking them, they would know what symbolized honor and pride to their unit, their mascot if you will, then your tattoo would be both personal to you AND him. Just kind of a neat idea.
Good luck and god bless for your brother's sacrifice, I appreciate it. _________________ Scientists have known that what grows on a gamer's face is different from that of a man's.
