Was wondering if as many of you as possible could possibly help me out a little. I a writing a 15 page paper on tattoo's for my culture class, and one of the sections I plan to include is an survey with actual results. Now this is not an everyday highschool paper, its for an upper level Lit. class so I need a decent amount of support and interest.
So if you could answer the questions below that would be great, it should take no more than 5 mins. Thankyou!
Tattoo Questionnaire
1. Male or Female?
2. Age?
3. Ethnicity?
4. Occupation?
5. Estimate of Percentage of body tattooed?
6. In one sentence, why did you get your tattoo(s)?
7. Are you happy with the outcomes? (Yes or No)
8. Do you have any regrets? One sentence if yes.
9. Have the tattoos hindered your employment opportunities? Examples
10. Do people perceive you differently since your tattoo? |

Well, hope this helps! Good luck with the paper

Tattoo Questionnaire
1. Male or Female? Male
2. Age? 25
3. Ethnicity? Caucasian
4. Occupation? Mechanical Engineering Consultant/Engineering Manager
5. Estimate of Percentage of body tattooed? um, 15% .... full lower leg and a couple on my back, waiting on 2 full sleeves and afull back eventually
6. In one sentence, why did you get your tattoo(s)? Individuality, people may look like me, but no one will have my exact tattoos, my tattoos complete me!
7. Are you happy with the outcomes? (Yes or No) Mostly, I wish i knew i was going to be so into the process, art, and culture when i placed the first couple on my back, makes a full backpeice very difficult. But artwork wise, yes i'm happy.
8. Do you have any regrets? One sentence if yes. Placement, Placement, Placement, in addition to picking what you want and wanting it for the rest of your life, put it in a good place that you'll want it for the rest of your life.
9. Have the tattoos hindered your employment opportunities? Examples Nope, my bosses know i'm tattooed, my colleagues know i'm tattooed, my clients know i'm tattooed...but I'm lucky in that i've always had a very laid back office environment and i'm extremely professional and my tattoos are covered at work.
10. Do people perceive you differently since your tattoo? it is totally not who i was when i was younger, so i get a lot of, i never imagined you'd be the type's , and a lot of HOLY SHIT WHEN DID YOU DO THAT's _________________ The only thing worse than hearing \"Dave load me the 5 liner and the 40 mag\" is \"OOPS!!\" |

9. Tattoos have never effected my employment but I've had the same job for the past 10 years and I got the tattoo that is exposed everyday about 2 years ago so what were they going to do, fire me?

Tattoo Questionnaire
1. Male
2. 30
3. White
4. Law Enforcement
5. 5% maybe, but that includes a large inner forearm plaid tribal piece.
6. In one sentence, why did you get your tattoo(s)?
At the time it was to be different, maybe alittle bit of rebellion. But also I just love the art.
7. Are you happy with the outcomes? (Yes or No)
Yes as far as the quality of the pieces I have
8. Do you have any regrets? One sentence if yes.
Yes, mainly I got pieces spur of the moment with no real long term plan for them. I wish I would have thought them out better.
9. Have the tattoos hindered your employment opportunities?
I don't think they have.
10. Do people perceive you differently since your tattoo?
They used to. When I got them 12 years ago they were not as mainstream as they are now so I was looked at as kinda a freak, especially growing up in a VERY rural area. |
