I currently have 2 tattoos, one is a samurai and dragon on my upper right back, and one of a japanese tiger on my left side/abdomen area. I realized that eventually a good portion of my body is going to get tattooed as Im only 22 and have plans for a lot more. Im trying to chart out where the tattoos will go so it flows nicely. Is it a smart idea to only keep to the japanese style as that is what ive started? Also, if I do that, do the japanese have any memorial style tattoos? If not, what would be a good idea, having one side be for memorial and other style tattoos, and have my left side be for the japanese style? because im planning on putting my family crest on my left pectoral pretty soon, and possibly starting a sleeve off that.

You're thinking about them too hard. Get what you want to get. If they don't flow... Well, chances are most the people you'll come in contact with you'll be fully clothed around anyway. They wont know about the Texas New School piece on your chest.

post pictures of what you already have. Where are you from?

family crests are a dime a dozen, and don't translate well into tattoos generally. I'd advise a different route personally.

I agree that family crests tattoos are pretty common, but I want to incorporate it somehow with another tattoo around my chest. Any ideas?
