i kno this is totally random and from a long time ago but i was thinking of gettin a tattoo on my back for the 9/11 attacks.
i plan to get a picture of the twin towers with the words "never forget" tattooed on the side as well as the words "in memoriam" tattooed above the towers. then i plan to get "nypd" and "fdny" tattooed on the side.
im just curious about wat others think cause the attacks also meant somethin to me as i nearly lost 2 aunts to those attacks but they miraculously survived.

NEVER FORGET.

Never forget how the mind of a ruthless killer and 19 men changed the WORLD FOREVER.

I don't even want to call them men.

I didn't lose a precious soul in those attacks, but in a moment on that bright sunny day, darkness fell where those towers once stood.

I almost lost my brother in Iraqi Freedom, he wasn't with us last Thanksgiving, he came home in June. I couldn't wait to drive that 1 hr 45 min drive and for that I am grateful this Thanksgiving Day for my brother, my freedom and the US Troops. May God rest the souls of the lost and fallen and protect those so curageously fighting the war on terror. May Justice Prevail.

Being a LE officer by trade and a volunteer firefighter never forgetting means alot to me. I think 9/11 memorial tattoos are great. If I were to get one I would have "All give some, some gave all" in mine somewhere.

Nubster,

I really like that. It truly summarizes it all in 6 words.

I'm a native of NY and I lost an uncle in the attacks.. I think it's a beautiful thing to use your body as a physical reminder never to forget that terrible day and to learn from our past.

There are some images immediately associated with 9-11 that you might want to look into. Of course the twin towers, the american-flag motif ribbon, the crying firefighter, the firefighter with an angel next to him, and the 3 men raising the flag at ground zero.

I'm not sure if any of these ideas help with what you're looking for.. but any way you look at it, it's a wonderful idea and I'm sure it will come out beautiful!

Here are some links that might help!!

Here's a site that is dedicated to firefighting tattoos. I am sure you can find lots of ideas to use in designing your own memorial tattoo.

We did this piece for a soldier serving in Iraq to highlight all the American wars. It includes the twin towers.

We are available for commissions.
