I've been looking into clothing blockers.
Do you guys use any sunblock clothing? If so, what do you guys recommend or do they even work?
I just don't feel like sunscreen is enough. I do live in San Diego and hangout at the beach all the time that's why I need the extra protection.

I haven't tried the clothing, but I do have a couple of Ink Armor half sleeves. Wore them last summer on ink that was too fresh for sunscreen. I was really happy with them.
This year I'm using high spf sunscreen, or avoiding sun. But I'm in Canada, so it's slightly less sunny than southern California.
I also have swimwear cover ups that cover me from neck to wrist to ankles for spending time at the pool or beach. (I call it my Irish Bikini). They are regular fabric but if I lived in the land of sun I would definitely invest in a set of uv clothing.

I like to bring my own shade if I am going to be in one place for a while.

That's funny. I have similar supplies. Tattoo Guard, Lotion, etc..
I'm just not sure if these shirts actually work better than just a regular shirt. I mean, it's not like it's made out of special materials. Most I've seen are a mix of polyester and spandex similar to this which I already have.
Also, this has been bugging me and I can't seem to get a straight answer - how soon can you put sunscreen on a fresh tattoo? If it's in the peeling stage (5 days for me) is it good enough?

hehe....thanks, I'll take that as a compliment.
On the sunscreen issue, why is sunscreen bad on a week old tattoo? Do we have actual medical facts on this?
