Hi my name is Jake,

I got my foot tattooed on Aug 13, 2014 (16 Days Ago) and my foot looks F***** up! I have went to go see a doctor, my tattoo artist, my tattoo artist boss and nobody can give me a definite answer on what they think it is. Any help or suggestion is more than appreciated!!!

Description:
- My foot is red in the background this started 6 days after the tattoo, the redness does go away time to time especially when I'm standing (You would think it would be the opposite)
- The skin ontop of the tattoo is very scaly
- It LOOKS dry & flaky but the skin is stuck and shows no sign of peeling/flaking off even with force it's really stuck!
- The reason why it looks so dry is because I have ceased putting any lotion on it
- I stopped putting lotion because the cream would not help it would just damp the layer of scaly skin
- The lotion I was using was Aveeno Skin Relief (Worked fine when I did my chest piece)

I have absolutely no idea what to do anymore sometimes I can't even see the tattoo anymore I'm starting to freak out any help would mean the world!

I'm not understanding the progression of the pictures.

It's not progression but the more clear look is when I clean it, and the dried up look is after a couple hours just so people could get a clear look

Tattoos take at least three months to heal. Foot tattoos perhaps longer.

Give it a chance. Use non petroleum moisturizer, and in VERY SMALL AMOUNTS.

When I had my hand done around the knuckles it took like three weeks before the grey skin finally peeled off. But mine never got frosty looking like that. Good luck with it.

If it's scabbing then don't use lotion on the scabs

I disagree with this. Keeping everything from being completely dried out lessens the risk of the scabs breaking off prematurely and causing scarring/damage. Especially on a body part like that.

True, but applying moisture to a scab will likely just saturate it even more and cause it to thicken. If it was me I wouldn't put anything on it. But everyone approaches these things differently.

looks like the entire thing is one big scar now, invest in some bio oil and use it religiously, your local cvs or wal mart carries this product.
