Is this balanced?

Hey everyone. I could use your thoughts... Just got this tattoo a few weeks ago. I like it, but I've been thinking of asking for a little shading to make it more balanced on my forearm. I don't want more detail added to the mountains, just maybe shading added towards my wrist and possibly a line down to my elbow? Am I crazy, or would that help balance this out? I know that forearm tattoos are difficult because it depends on how the arm is bent... Thanks!
Sorry if it's a little blurry:

What is it?
It has potential to be very interesting with a very unique style if you added to it with the right artist like maybe,

or some water colours splases etc
If your leaving it like that, not quite sure what to say, not my thing but as long as your happy thats all that matters

lol, mountains. i do like it... the direction, anyway. i actually asked for less detail when i went in, but the artist said there needed to be some shading or it would be totally abstract. now i feel like there needs to be more shading or something. and maybe go to someone else? hm. thanks for your thoughts!
I see mountains I don't think it needs to be balanced. But then I like unbalance/asymmetry. I do think it needs a little something more though. How about some watercolor type colors? Something like this
. I would definitely find someone who's experienced in this style though. Actually, no matter what you decide to do, find someone who's experienced and talented in whatever it is you want.
Edited for link stupidity. This one should work.

Agreed. 100 percent.EvilJay wrote:If someone has to ask what your tattoo is, it's not a good tattoo. A lot of people will have to ask what this is. Not very good.
This. Until I read your description, I just thought you got a poorly done (as if there's one that's well done) skin ripping tattoo.EvilJay wrote:If someone has to ask what your tattoo is, it's not a good tattoo. A lot of people will have to ask what this is. Not very good.

Not sure what it is until you mention "mountain". I think it's still lack of something.
Try to get more work done til you get a better tattoo.
Wish you the best!

a guy i work with just showed me a sketch of a mountain tattoo that he wants to get that looks just like that, except with lines instead of the shading.

i'm gonna send him to this thread
