|
|
Hey everyone.
I'm new to this forum and indeed new to tattooing. I am going to be getting my first (and very long awaited) tattoo at the end of this month...hopefully.
I have a question about artists in NYC and Brooklyn. Has anyone had their tattoo done here and can recommend someone they had good results with. All of my friends that have them have had horrible experiences where they had gone. I want my first tattoo to be done right by someone I can trust.
Thanks everyone. |

I'm probably on the polar opposite end of the United States from you so I can't help you find an artist with my experience. But seeing as I have to put my answer in for everything, I'd say write down the names of the places your friends had an awful experience and then go through the business telephone book and cross out all tattoo parlors that are on that list. Then, go try the ones left.
Well anyway, that's what I'd do. |

| There's another thread on this somewhere. New York Adorned is a very well-known shop with a stable of very highly-regarded artists - Chris O'Donnell, Kaz, Shinji, Stephanie Tamez, Mike Rubindall, etc. I've been impressed with the Rising Dragon shop also - Darren Rosa, David Sena, C-Jay, Rodrigo, etc. Troy Denning and Invisible NYC is well-known though I've never been there. Anil Gupta as mentioned is very highly-regarded. All of these artists have on-line portfolios for viewing. As I've said elsewhere, expect to wait for awhile for some of these artists as waiting lists are not uncommon. |

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all of your help. I ended up making an appointment with Bryan at New York Adorned. Everyone who works there seems to be really knowledgeable and very very helpful and the artists are incredible.
So I will have my first tattoo on the 30th!
Thanks again. |

Can't go wrong with the folks at NYA. I've seen Bryan's work on their site and it is awesome.

Are you trying to say you're a chatty gal? It's OK though, you pretty much make sense and type in a legible manner so it's all good |
