ok, I've been looking to get a tattoo for some time now. I have a basic idea what I want to get.

Does anyone know of or can recommend a good shop in PA?

I currently live in Susquehanna County(far north east) but will be finishing up school at State College(around the center of PA) and I am willing to travel anywhere(limited to neighboring states).

Also, what are the signs and "look fors" of a reputable shop? After reading some of the other posts here, an autoclave is a must(dont like idea of something that I cannot confirm isnt sterile...) but what else is to be looked for?

Any Help would be great

Thanks

ok... I can't really answer your question... but I couldn't overlook your mention of State College being the Penn Stater that I am. I'll be a junior out there next fall. Sorry my post was useless--I just got all excited. Very Happy

When you get to State College, look for the oldest studio in the area, and look for a studio that has their autoclave in a room seperate from anything else. Call Kevin from the local health Dept, and ask him who is the oldest, and where he would go.

I'm actually from that area, and the state college area has a few shops that i know of. I, personally haven't gotten work done at any of them, but know of people who have. Basically ask around. I know a lot of people like the Totem studio in that area, but those people also only like getting work done by Bill. I haven't heard anything bad about any of the studios up there, though, so that's a good thing, lol.
