I'm from Colorado originally and I feel the same way... I could get a big CO tattoo (a rectangle, woot) with script underneath that says "COLORADO... It's not as great as you think!" I may as well get a big fat scratcher tattoo on my forehead that says "REDNECK." When I was in highschool, all the males in my class talked about how excited they were to join the military to "kill them ragheads" and the girls were typically pregnant by age 16. We also had a "drive your tractor to school" day - the state patrol would block off the highway and everything.

Ouch! Embarassed Where in Colorado are you from?? I was just thinking a big ol rectangle on my arm would look pretty stupid Smile Near Greeley perhaps??? (not making fun...well not much anyway Laughing )

Lol you hit the nail right on the head! Laughing I'm from about 20 miles south of Greeley... and I don't miss it one bit! Can't blame you for making fun wink

Ha ha Smile I grew up just outside of denver in the burbs, but I went to college in fort collins...needless to say...I learned way to much about the "redneck" lifestyle, had to finish my degree in colorado springs, there is something sad about walking to an art history class, and you pass the sheep pen on your way there Smile

So Uncle Jed and Jethro were talking one day and Jethro said 'Uncle Jed... whats fu(kin?'. Well Uncle Jed said to Jethro 'Boy, you dont know whats fu(kin is? Ill tell you what *hollars* Granny Daisy! Get your @ss in here!'
So in walks Granny and Jed said to her 'Now Jethro doesnt know what fu(kin is... so lift up your dress and bend over the table' Granny Daisy proceeds to do so (with a grin I might add), and Uncle Jed said to Jethro 'Now you see that hole on the back of Granny?' and proceeds to start fu(king the shi+ out of her.
Next thing you know, Elly May walks in and said to Jethro 'Whats they doin, Jethro?' 'Theys fu(kin!' said Jethro. 'Well whats fu(kin?' askes Elly May?
'Well you see that whole on the back of Uncle Jed?...'

*EDIT* It took some research to find the names here, so appreciate it Evil or Very Mad

I have too much wanderlust for that, and I've moved around too much.
Hm, maybe someday, if I've traveled enough, I'll get a globe with stars on where I've been and hearts on where I've lived.

Haha! Springs isn't much better though Sad I think it's creepy (though preferrable to the rednecks). Once in high school a friend of mine and I went to breakfast at McDonald's in little bitty Johnstown before school, and we of course ended up late to our first class, so we told the teacher that we had trouble getting to school because escapees from the buffalo ranch were blocking the road. Laughing

Ha Smile That s why I'm glad I live in denver now, at least its *reasonably* normal here. Starting to think about packing it up though, its a little too "boulder" sometimes for me. (for those of you not in the know..think jettas and berkienstocks...with socks...and shorts...eek)

LOL! As we Coloradoans say... Boulder is 26 square miles surrounded by reality.

How did you make it to school on time? Tractors go about no-miles-an-hour on the highway.
