Hi there; I'm 20 and have recently moved to Orlando. I've been contemplating getting a tattoo for a while now and I think I'm really gonna do it. Of course, I've got a few questions...
- I want to design my own tat; are artists accomodating of this? If so, do I just bring in a drawing for them to work from? Is it helpful if it's bigger than I want for clarity? The artists are the ones with the needles, so I want them happy!
- I don't know enough about tattoo parlors OR the Orlando area to shop around effectively; I'm probably just going to go to the shop selected by last year's "Best of" city survey. If it doesn't feel right, I won't get it done there, but the real thing I want to know is - should I just walk in and get it done if I'm confident it's okay, or should I come back on a later date? I don't want to look as ignorant as I'm sounding here!
- The tattoo I want is just a black line drawing with a line of text, and is going to be between one and two inches. Ballpark cost?
I realize these things vary with location and artist, but I'm just asking "in general." Thanks so much for your help. |
