You need to have everything else set up before worrying about artists. You have to make it appealing for artists to leave there successful shops to come to your convention/city... There is a lot more into putting a convention together then just tattoos…

lol i didnt mean I personally set it up lol it was alright though. and kinda seemd like you were attackin me on it dude. i didnt post this to try to get artists. just wanted to see whos close enough to go.
had a few good shops come through. (not by knowing personaly, but by portfolio and work done there)
heres a link to the artist that showed up last year
i met Kat Von D that was cool. she won in like 4 different catagories.

I'm not attacking you; I'm just saying a lot goes into conventions that people don’t know about. I'm pretty connected down here in the South when it comes to conventions and if ya'll were down this way, I could hook you up with some key people but they couldn't help you out West. Try getting a hold of Damian Conklin from Super Genius Tattoos in Seattle WA. He’s been running one of the best West Coast conventions for years now. Maybe he can give you friends some numbers to call?

I live in the Bay Area, but I'm typing this in Fresno as I'm visiting. There is a good chance I would try go- especially if some folks of Kats calibre go. Give some details when you know more please.

Kat would have a great chance for Best Black & Grey and Best Portrait but that's it... Just wondering what the other two categories you're referring too?
Unless, they had best sleeve, back piece, etc...then I can see. Her color work sucks and always has. I'm surprised she even tried in on national TV.
Way too many other Black & Grey specialists out that are (IMO) BETTER then her...

| hate fresno? well yeah i probably would to if i werent born here. kinda hate it now. where ya from? and where you at in fresno tattooedscottsman? i believe KAT won best leg piece and sleeve also. |
