hello, i had 2 new tats about 5 days ago and was told to apply puran tattoo cream 4-5 times a day after washing it. the tattoos scabbed slightly but have now fell off. (without picking) now the tattoo has white bits of flakes and im guessing dead skin on the colored areas. is this a normally healing proccess? also from the tattoo being done how long does it take to fully heal? thanks...

Yes, this is normal. Keep up with the procedure your tattoo artist has given you. A new tattoo can take aprox. from 1 1/2 to 2 weeks to heal.

A properly done tattoo that is well cared for will NOT scab, It will flake off like a sun burn. Keep it from drying out, but never apply too much ointment. We sell a varity of aftercare products, but I still give out several sample packets of A & D ointment as it works best during the healing process. After which should be followed up with vasaline intensive care lotion. Hope this helps.

the studio i apprentice at used to give out sample packs of A&D, but problems arose because (no matter how many times we warned them) clients always coated their new ink to the piont of drawing color out of the piece. A&D works really well, unless you cake too much on.

That's why we take pictures and remind them that how it looks after it leaves my hands, is not my responsibility. The first touch up is usually free, but you can tell when a customer has screwed the pooch.

I'm having some issues as well... i just recently filled in my sleeve and the head of the koi and some other areas are cracked/wrinkly... also the color is gray and it looks to have a slight yellow haze to it. After getting out of the shower it feels kinda sticky and sliming almost like a scab you'd get from scuffing up your knee. What should i apply to this? I'm on day 3 of healing.
