sponsor a LOT of events or give gift certificates. - no alcohol required

Roller Derby teams are good - everyone wants to see half naked hot tattooed women on skates. Our team gets places in all the local parades, state wide bouts, and our banner is right there with them.

Bizarely enough nail salons are good places for advertising, pay for your receptionists pedicure or soemthing if she will go once a week and hand out cards.

Newspapers do articles occasionally, had one column locally about "young people with interesting careers"

Our shop always gives gift certificates to charity events. And showing up always helps.

Throw a party, you dont have to drink at it, but invite clients etc to celebrate something, anniversary or soemthing, and give them somethign to watch like a burlesque, raffle a gift certificate or something. Free drinks vouchers if you bring a new customer with you always goes down well!

ah yes I totaly forgot about that - one of the local tattooists here always seems to be raffling off $500 gift vouchers for charity and they'v been doing very well since starting.

also try fliers or advertising along with (good) local bands; just think who your key demographic is (around here its mostly guys 18 > 25)
