Ive looked up several instructions for aftercare of tattoos, in the sticky it said that its ok to use plastic rap but then ive been told or seen a few people that have said it creates a fever in the area and can cause infection?

is it safe to plastic rap a healing tattoo like on the chest (or other places where clothing rubs) or is risk of infection too great?

thanks....

You can use plastic wrap to keep the tattoo from getting really dirty or from sticking to your sheets....but you must also realize that you have created what scientists call, a PETRY DISH....so as soon as you can, I suggest you wash it with an antimicrobial (different than an antibacterial) soap and put more moisturiser on it.

There's a "w".. Its silent, but it's there...

That said, dont use plastic wrap except on your way home to the shower...
