| I found some buddha references on google but for this reference, I like books better, so I'll suggest the library. The pic you chose is cool except for the hand positions. I can't make out what they are supposed to be depicting. I really like how spare the image is. I think this would mke a great tattoo! |

I have some buddist and Hindu religious tattoos all over. Love both believes! I have a very large Shieva on my back, which is almost done. _________________

Are you going to post a pic when it's done? Shiva's usually look great when done right. |

I'm going to finish up the Shiva and start some of the background next Friday, so yes I will. Oh, and it's done right... I don't get shitty tattoos _________________

I agree about the hand position (called a mudra). I believe this is supposed to be the dharmachakra mudra but it looks a little off. The right hand appears to have too many fingers.
There is so much great Buddhist art available on the web and in books, you should be able to find something to your taste. It isn't bad form in Buddhist circles (I am a Buddhist) to copy a depiction of the Buddha. These are traditional designs which are passed down from artist to artist over many generations.
Of course, there are many other Buddhist symbols you could draw on. I have a vajra and a dharma wheel tattoo along with my Chinese dragon and the kanji for "compassion".

| I'd get Kuan Yin if I decided to get another tattoo. Her story and imagery makes her a great Goddess to emulate. |
