I am going to get my first tattoo Saturday so please help!! My sis works at the hospital and is very peeved about me wanting a tattoo. She told me that if I get a tattoo I can not get X-rays if I need them or Chemo or MRI's. Does anybody know if this is true? She says there is lead in some of the paint. HELP!!

actually i believe it was the iron oxide that could have reacted to a MRI scan, based on the fact that it is essentially a huge magnet, and was rumored to be able to pull the iron out through your skin... but like i said before, mythbusters tested this and found it to be false.

(in case you don't know what mythbusters is, it's a show on the discovery channel, at least in canada, where they ...well... bust myths)
