Great call!
This decision shows a high regard for the art form of tattooing. It is up to professionals and those who truely feel a love for the industry to set a high standard for their peers and those wanting to be. If one were to call themselves a police officer, or a doctor, or an attorney without having the proper training, understanding, and credentials, people would see the OBVIOUS danger in that...yet the same people find it difficult to see how someone calling themselves a "Tattoo artist" could be even more dangerous and likely effect far more people. As I said in a past post, I am not here to get into a pissing contest about the artistic ability of an individual...although it is important for that to be a large part of the art form, for obvious reasons, it is NOT the part of the art form that is chisled in stone. Your artistic ability is subjective. Some asshole will like your work no matter how poor it is. But the cleanliness part is NOT OPEN TO DEBATE OR OPINION. Those viruses do not give a shit about your opinion. They don't stay away because you refuse to acknowledge them, or don't know enough to address them. Anyone who has spent 10 years scratching, that hasn't taken the time to become compliant with modern aseptic procedure is not a "Tattoo artist" no matter how 'Gud of a drawler" they are. Those people have no business giving advise to people looking for expert opinion, nor does a professional "Tattoo artist" have any business enabling those people to exist. Anyone who has a passion for the art form should feel the need to stop these people, and not lend them the credibility that comes from participating with us.
Thank you for having the common sense and decency to do the right thing.

I have to agree. Cleanliness isn't something to debate. Your a clean artist, or your not. There is no in between. I thnk it's great that someone has been tattooing for 10 years. But if he really was tattooing that long, at some point one would think that an autoclave would be deemed a "necessary item". I know our local Health Dept. wouldn't let me operate if I didn't have one.
Thanks for taking a stand!

Man.....I go on vacation for a week and all hell breaks loose! I missed all the fun. LOL, scratchers can't even make it big in tattoo forums let alone in kitchens!

After reading some of the posts, I was starting to think that 4leaf was our mascot for the tattoo room. If people come in here just to trash talk, and act like they sense when they have none; then why come in here. I thought this was room, where you could ask questions about tattoos, future tattoos, and the like. No idea it was the type of place you could come and start a riot. After reading everything 4leaf wrote, I'm glad he's gone, and what happened to 4leaf should serve as a warning to all future trash talkers.

For the people who read my posts, my is racing with what I have to say, so my hands are going faster than my actually saying it in my mind, so some words get left out. You get the general idea of my comments though. Sorry!!!

Just a little tip for future reference.
If you find that you have made a mistake in a post, you can just hit the "edit" button, while you are logged in, and change the mistake, and it's like it never happened.
Just wanted to let you know.
Welcome aboard.
