Hello, I'm looking to get my 4th tattoo, but I will do it myself, by hand, no machine. I'm an art-related proffessional (meaning, drawing and color knowledge), but have no tattoing experience.

I'm gathering information and learning before starting, so if you have any info, experience, or advice, and want to give me a hand, I will appreciate very much. Either here or directly to my email or messenger : ilcharlie@hotmail.com

The reason I'm going to do this, its for my own personal satisfaction. And I'm aware of the hygiene, care and precautinons I have to take.

Thank you very much.

J.C.

You are a scratcher. You need to go away. You are going to infect yourself and end up with a mess.

What kind of 'Art Related' professional are you? Stock boy at a craft store?

What do you intend to use, if your not using a machine? Obviously if you don't have a machine, you don't have any of the sterilizing equipment necessary, and its a tad hard to just get your hands on the proper inks.

If you want the personal satisfaction of this ordeal, go steal a car or commit murder, hop into a prison cell, they'll tell you all the tricks of the bass ackwards trade.

Umm okay ::obvious stupid question alert::

How do you tattoo without a machine? are you talking about making a "gun" yourself? or stabbing at yourself with sticks? neither seem very safe or sanitary to me....

I'm speechless. I just don't know what to say to these types of threads anymore. I can't tell you not to do it, because you're probably stubborn and have made up your mind. I can only hope that it messes up so bad that you never do anything that stupid in your life again.

Don't. Just don't. You are aware that you have no experience tattooing, you should be old enough and mature enough to realize it's a bad idea to do something it takes people YEARS UPON YEARS to perfect and get right ESPECIALLY if you're considering taking a traditional tribal approach or, god forbid, a prison approach.

No artist worth their salt will give you any advice on how to do it.

LMAO Laughing Good one INkHo.

Original Poster: I know you probably came here looking for advice on how to PROPERLY tattoo yourself with a sewing needle and some dirt; but this is a site for people who are SERIOUS about tattoos, both enthusiasts and professionals. If you're looking for advice on how to be an idiot, I suggest you go to your local penitentiary and ask some inmates Rolling Eyes With any luck, you'll end up a tear on some gang members cheek, lol.

You really shouldn't tattoo anyone, including yourself. YOU DON'T KNOW about hygiene and blood born pathogens unless you go through training, which you haven't. It's obvious... I understand why you want too but it truly isn't a good idea. Have a professional artist do your idea/tattoo.
