My brother-in-law had a brain hemorrhage about 3 years ago and he is thinking about getting a tattoo. He wanted me to help try and find a design. The only survivor tattoos I've been able to find are cancer survivors and are typically some form of a ribbon. Does anyone know of any cool survivor type tattoos? My bro-in-law is 6' 6" and 300+ pounds so he is somewhat big.

Well, you could do any number of things depending on the style you like. I personally am a fan of japanese tattoos because of the symbolism of the images and the way they flow over the body. For instance, you could get say...a Kirin, it's a one horned mystical beast, kinda looks like a horse with scales- they symbolize long life, happiness, good fortune...and then you could add some wind bars and maybe some plum blossoms which symbolize overcoming difficuly, hope & new beginnings.
Just an idea Idea ...good luck.
