you should post this question on tattoonow.com.'s forum.
There are alot of pro tattooists on there. A guy named Gabe seems to be able to referrence artists in any location.
Good Luck. |

Can we just put up a banner ad for Tattoonow.com on the main page, or something?
And this one time...at band camp...
Not to be rude, man, but you have been advertising for another forum since you got here. We all know where it's at by now. |

hey Bolfwad,
I reccomend it because that's where all the professionals are. I see you talk a lot of shit on here, and in your personal profile you claim to be the real deal. But I see no shop name or any way to see your work. I assume you are also probably a hack.
get a fucking clue buddy. I'm just trying to help. Besides the posts weren't for you, so mind your own business. |

I don't talk shit. I give fact about how to get the cleanest tattoo in the best way. It has helped a lot of people stay safe. If that's shit to you, maybe it's you who are a hack. I couldn't care less about your portfolio, and have no need to post mine, I have no need to use this forum for advertisement. I am busy enough with word of mouth and have stated many times I am not here to get in a pissing contest about how pretty my drawing is, compared to yours. For our purposes here, we should be educating people about safety. As for artwork, they would be better off doing some legwork, and making that decision...so it is of little importance to me, here.
If you or I or the boys from Miami are filthy, or are doing stupid things, people shouldn't go to us no matter how fuckin' pretty our pictures are, wouldn't you agree? I have been doing business for about 20 years, was trained, keep on the cutting edge, and do VERY well. That's good enough. There are several professionals here, too. In the few posts you made, you gave an advertisement for another forum in nearly all of them. My question is, why not just put up a banner and be done with it, if you are here to advertise your forum? If that hurts your feelings, sorry. If we all came to your forum and every answer consisted of, "GO TO EVERYTATTOO.COM AND ASK! THEY HAVE PROFESSIONALS THERE!" what would your reaction to that be?
Make sense? |

look man,
the "other site" I mentioned is just another place to find tattoo reference. I'm not gonna tell everyone to check out everytattoo.com if theyr'e allready here. Like I said, those posts weren't for you anyway. So if your just here to help , why comment on the advice I gave someone else? Unless you can point out that I'm giving out incorrect info.
make sense?
And you may not want to give your name, but anybody can say theyv'e been doing tattoos for 20 years if they never have to give any proof. If your shop and your work are the epitome of cleanliness then show everyone if you really want to help. You don't have to accept any business from any of us lowly people on this site...since you do SO well. You know,I wouldn't listen to plastic surgeon even give the simplest advice if he/she couldn't or wouldn't prove to me he/she is a real doctor and knows what they are talking about. Most of your advice has been written and published by others in one or many tattoo books/magazines at one point or another.
So, if I feel like telling someone that tattoonow might also be a place they can go for information, then what's wrong with that? You don't have to go there. And why would you, you seem to have created a little hill all your own where you can be king. Afterall, when is the last time you heard someone like Guy Atchison proclaim that " I'm the REAL DEAL, not a scratcher!" like your profile does? Like many REAL tattoo artists,he doesn't have to because he let's his work and work environment speak for him...and I'm sure that he would be more than happy to let anyone see his work space.
make sense? |

| My profile says that because of an incident that happened here involving a scratcher claiming to be a tattoo artist. If you have a year in the business, you could tell that the information I am giving is right, and I know what I am talking about. And I have posted pictures of my studio numerous times, here, as well as my work. Not to sell myself as an artist, though. |

well, my point is this... I'm just here to help and to enjoy myself by interacting with others in the tattoo community, probably a lot like you.
So if you don't like what I say, don't read it. If your a pro then I don't need to give you advice. If you don't like TATTOONOW.COM being mentioned then don't read it when I type TATTOONOW.COM. Then you won't be offended when I offer TATTOONOW.COM as an alternative resource for people in search of ideas and answers to pressing questions.Do you TATTOONOW.COM what I'm TATTOONOW.COM ing to you?
Who cares? Just get on with your life. |
