Turn both knobs to the "off" position.

I'm saying if you can't figure out a DC power supply, you should turn it off...forever.

You work in a studio? What do all the other people say?
Power supplies are a pretty simple concept...no rocket science degree needed. I am just wondering why a trained tattooist with even a month under his belt can't figure out a power supply with two knobs instead of one.
Give us some background.

I don't think any reputable tattoo artist would encourage you to work from you apartment. You should quit putting needle to skin, be patient, and work on drawing skills. If your friend is a professional tattooist at a licensed shop, then surely he/she will teach you how to tattoo properly when you get out of the army. Be patient. Your only going to give shitty tattoos that will have to be covered. Think about it. It doesn't show a lot of respect for your client to experiment on them.
Good Luck.

I understand. It's hard to get a foot in the door a lot of times.
If you have a sinking feeling sometimes that what your doing is wrong...then it probably is.
In fact it's illegal.

Think of it this way....So, you have all these places lining up to get you to apprentice with them. How many will be there when you screw up and give someone Hep? You think they'll ever want to be associated with that??
When people are starting to badmouth you all over town because they realize your work isn't up to par, will these places still be wanting to have you around??
Not if they are reputable. Not if they are sane. Not if they care about tattooing.
So, go ahead and jump in with both feet. You won't be the first to ruin what could have been a decent career by being impatient, and I doubt highly you'll be the last.
Once someone builds a solid reputation as a scratcher, NO ONE in their right mind is going to want to have you around. Trust me.

Damn! I hate it, because he's kinda condescending in almost all of his posts, but I agree with BadWolf .In fact, I say, if you just can't wait then fuck yourself up. go crazy...that's why Jebus gave you legs.
And, if by chance you ever develop real skill, you'll understand the Badwolf's senario completely. You'll wish you'd never gone to "that" scratcher...

...that means you.

Do your next "client" a favor and tell them you'd love to draw something for them, but you just haven't been shown how to tattoo yet. Then they can take your drawing and have the tattoo artist redo it.

Damn again! I think I might have been a little condescending there...badWolf, you're rubbing off. Twisted Evil
