This is purely out of vanity.

I have unbalance facial hair growth. I've always kept it cleanly shaven but you can still tell the 'blank' spots from the black and blue areas.

I'm fed up with the way it looks. So I was thinking, since I'm always shaven (I don't grow a stubble too fast), why not tattoo in the blank spots?!

Has anyone done this? Or seen it done before?

I wonder if the tattoo artist will be able to just dot in and stain the area to match what is existing. Can the work be that fine?

What do you guys (and gals) think?

I'm at wits end.

I joined this website hoping to get some help and answers. Thanks.

Hmmm.. interesting idea; I don't see why it coudln't be done.. It's sort of a spin off of permanent makeup. But what happens when you get older and your beard turns grey? You'll have black dots on your face ... Confused

I'm guessing I have to keep it closely and cleanly shaven always. Hell I've been doing it for 40 yrs why not another 40 Smile

Will the ink fade too with time?

How about exfoliation? Do I have to re-ink?

Do you think the artist can actually simulate a dark dot and some blue and black around the area?

I say grow a beard. If you are that worried about it don't draw more attention to it by tattoing it. Grow a beard. The wiskers usually grow over the bare spots to cover them.

I have a hard time visualizing this problem. Do you have any visual aids for us?

yeah I would really like a visual aid also. What throws me off is the "blue" part? I didn't think people GREW blue hair? I know black can kind of look a little bluish under the skin sometimes, is that what you mean? Pics please! Very Happy

I wonder what it would tan like? I think an artist could do this.

I also think that just filling in areas has unknown ramifications for the future. How big are the spots?

Heh, details please!

Just rubber cement some pubes on there.. Easily removable if you get tired of them...

i think tattooing your face like that would be retarted. if you want to do something, just get that laser hair removal.. it may be more expensive, but makes a hell of a lot more sense than filling in fake stubble!

Thanks for all the responses.
Looks like most advise not doing it.
Hmm ... OK I'll rethink this.
Curious ... how do you post pics here anyways?

Glad to hear that. As far as photos I don't know much about the workings of this site but I have a photobucket account. I just paste the URL photobucket generates.
