But I can't seem to find the answer online.
So I'm using Neosporin on my now 22 hour tattoo. I looked at it a bit ago and the Neosporin looked filthy. I wiped it off with a cloth and it appears as though it's the black and some of the purple ink, not dirt.
Is that okay? Perhaps I need to put less goo on? |

I cannot imagine ANYONE recommending the use of Neosporin these days.
The tattoo will normally flake off like that, but I strongly disagree with the use of any antibiotic that you do not absolutely need. And unless the artist gave you an infection, why do you need an antibiotic? |

| Hm, okay. So just some fragrance free hand lotion then, right? |

| That's along better lines. I prefer pure shea butter with a couple drops of lavender oil per/ounce mixed in. People have been healing tattoos with shea butter for thousands of years without a problem. You can get it at most hippy shops and health food stores. |

| Thanks Badwolf. I'm headed to the mall right now, actually. I'll check that stuff out. Hopefully it's not too expensive, I've got to buy a new cell phone (%@#&) and I'm scared to think of the deposit they're going to make me pay. |

Any non-petroleum based lotions will work...
Wolfs stuff works awesome (thanks by the way) but anything is better then Neosporin. _________________
