NOT AT ALL! I appreciate it! It sorta proved my point, so I don't have any hard feelings at all.

| Unless it was a joke, or the magazine has gone SERIOUSLY down hill, I can't imagine them printing that picture. |

badwolf, I think what the previous poster was getting at is as follows : Some customer brought the 2k5 issue of ITA (a mag which i think is honestly one of the better tattoo rags out there) into the shop and said "I want this" and pointed at the picture. Basically, instead of saying 'hey man, why don't you let me draw you up something in the vein of that image with the same feel, so that we're not just stealing a custom piece from someone", he just went 'cool!:" and ran to the light table. That's my assumption, anyway, perhaps I'm reading a bit too much into it.
BTW : Just to clear my stance on this issue up : if someone brings a piece of flash into the studio I work at and says "I want this", typically, we do it as is. If someone brings a print-out from the net of a piece that's obviously a custom and more-than-likely meant as a one-off, we do what I indicated previously in this post.stealing customs, to me anyway, is pretty cheap _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

My goodness. I would never expect such behavior from 4leafloser.
I know he's a straight up dude with a stellar resume so far, so I can understand someone being surprised when he bites someone else's work.
You wouldn't think someone with so much talent and fortitude would do such a thing, would ya?
Geez!
I can't believe I managed to type that without hurting myself, laughing.
