Cricket and Alfredo Matta will be tattooing at the Slinging Ink Tattoo Expo in San Antonio Texas on February 26-27.
You can email either of them with your ideas and budget to prebook your tattoo.

I hope not...because conventions are great place to meet cool new people and artists. Guess anyone with money can buy a booth?

I am beginning to become a real prude about this stuff. I will not go to any convention that is NOT put on by a tattoo artist. If it is just some guy selling booths to make money, forget it...boycott it. Why give them your money? What are they giving the industry?
I won't buy machines, tubes, needles or pigments from anyone who is not a tattoo artist, either...or those who sell to the general public. It may cost a bit more NOW...but down the road, not supporting those Hucksters will be a worthwhile investment.
Let's face it...we can all go to the local mega mart and get razors and paper towels, but most of these legit companies don't sell those things, anyway.

Very true about the conventions. The other ones don't have reputable artists anyways.

I have to say I agree with you there Badwolf but just have to add that some of our so called artists have turned out to be real Whores. And to them i wouldnt give 1 cent. Kinda makes me think sometimes what tattooing has come to. Everyones looking to make a killing off the backs of the hard working guys. Im sure this wouldnt have been accepted 10 years ago, but today anything goes. They call it progress, I call it disaster.

and of course this list can be MUCH larger have GREAT conventions every year. The older some get, the less they like to travel and hang out for 4 days. It happens but there still many wonderful events out there.
