The building looks cool. In my opinion it takes an important element out of it. The pressure and the risk. You can't do graffiti on a canvas. I'd call that art. Maybe I'm being a purist.

your right..its only classified as graffiti when it is defacing property..but i dont know how else i can explain the art other than calling it graffiti, when you think of art you think of the mona lisa or so, graffiti is the only way i can express the art form. but i know what your saying

graffiti style? lol - anything that brings color into the world and is done well and with passion is art in my book - canvas or no - difference of opinions is what makes the world a lovely place

i used to get up. ironically enough, ever since i moved to nyc, i haven't really fucked with it much (shifted my focus to music) but i still roll around with on-the-run markers to catch sexy drippy tags.

here's one of the last pieces i was part of with my chicago crew (tfd). it's from 2003 & is a permission wall done @ the annual "grillz n skillz" event outside of the city. we didn't do the roller letters @ the top.

writers in chicago really have it hard. you can't buy paint in the city anymore and if you get caught it's a felony. also, the city spends a ton of money on buffing vans. fu mayor daley.

The wall is sweet, but your crew doesnt really fit the profile....(I mean, theres a guy in a pink button down shirt tucked into his jeans and a cowboy hat...) Cool

I actually enjoy seeing the graffiti on the trains that come by near our house, some of the work is very good.

Laughing that's just a few of the heads. it's actually quite a diverse group.

but the whole image of graf has been raped. graffiti is not hip-hop!
