Last night. Well not exactly. I shoved a 4 taper in and it went in with no problems so I decided to keep going. So I put a 2 in, and now my ears are stinging. They hurt. Not too too bad. But pain is pain. Did I make a mistake by jumping a size? I have no patience. At all. How can i make the pain go away? |

it's not a mistake. I went to a half inch with only 4 steps.
The pain ? pain killers, booze, weed....whatever does it for you.
Sometimes I could not sleep on one side for days because it would hurt too much. _________________ ---------------------- |

hope you didn't go too far! I have a friend who is gauging his ear and the piercer recommended not jumping - giving the skin time to toughen up between sizes - he's waiting like 6-8 weeks between sizing changes and that's of course if the skin has healed and toughened enough. If you did it yourself and have concerns - go and see a piercer for advice _________________ Don't ask the question if you don't want know the answer! |

Well, the first thing thing you want to do is dowwnsize your ears if the pain persists.
I also jumped from a 6 to a 2, it was bleeding alot and hurt to sleep on it, but this only lasted a day or two.
The biggest piece of advice I can give you is dont jump gauges again, now that you are going into the bigger sizes each stretch is a little bigger, so if you skip gauges your almost guaranteed a blowout and disformed earlobes. |
