Never seen a piece in this location before, and I was wondering if anyone here has tattooed in this spot. Am I right that it would be a pretty difficult place to tattoo?
EDIT:Mainly I just can't imagine the pain and I think I would be squirming around constantly if I tried to sit for that.

I know a couple guys (both tattoo artists) that have work that covers the front neck/under chin area. I asked one about the apin factor once and he just chuckled and replied "It was a trip...It was a freakin' trip...". By that, i assume he was saying 'It was ouchy", lol.
I've never done a piece there, but I'd imagine it would be a pain in the ass to work and would require a lot of periodical breaks so the client could move his neck/head and stretch out a bit _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

I actually really like the way it looks. But even if I were I a position to have such visible tattoos, just the thought of getting one there makes me cringe! _________________ If the sun don't shine, I'll try like hell to make light from the dark for you |

I did a few throat tats in Florida years ago. They tend to be a little more common in more hardcore crowds...like REAL bikers, and such. I can't remember any of them having any real problem with it, though. I still do a lot of tattoos on the side of the neck, and did one on a female friend that goes from her neck, across the jawbone, to the front of the ear. She sat through that like a trooper. _________________ If you GIVE a man fire, you keep him warm for the day...but if you SET a man on fire, you keep him warm for the rest of his life.

Exactly, I've done the sides/back of neck plenty of times, and my boss has done a few "chokers" on girls in the past, but under the chin just seems a little ouchy. Eh, maybe when I run outta room I'll go there, lol. _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

ah hell, i have a ways to go. Seriously, I really don't have THAT many tattoos. I'm really too busy DOING tattoos to GET tattoos. I actually just got my left hand done yesterday after we closed the shop, as a bit of a christmas gift to myself.
I have YEARS worth of getting work done left _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

CxCx, don't feel bad. It's funny when I walk into a studio with my pants and short sleeve shirt on.
Then I pull the pants down and take off the shirt and everyone is like damn. I HAD NO FUCKING CLUE...lol
It's funny, I love doing that. _________________

See, I'm the opposite, a lot fo my pieces of visibale (the half sleeve that's about half way done on my right forearm, both legs from calves down, and now my hand) so people always ASSUME i ahve more, but I'm still saving the "Prime real estate" (my back, ribs, and left arm are open still) for later, for the right piece at the right time _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

Dude, all artists do it that way!
Most artists I know are sleeved and even neck tattoos but if you see them with their clothes off (like mutal sex parties or beaches/pools) they don't have much if anything on there midsections/backs. lol
Mark from endlesssumertattoo has a true body suit. I always respected him for that. He can tell ya how every place on your body feels (at least to him). _________________

I love showing off my tattoos, so having them in places that show easily with certain clothing is really nice. I am so pleased with how my swallow came out, and saddened that I've felt obligated to keep it covered while my boyfriend and I are visiting his parents (mostly just because I don't feel like dealing with any attitude over xmas ). It severely limits my choice of tops! All my favorite ones have lower collars, and I've had to leave those ones in the suitcase Oh well. _________________
