sick tattoo artists around the bay area?
Moderators: buttwheat, sidelvar, EvilJay, Sphenoid
im up near san jose in sunnyvale and im looking for a good artist to do a back piece for me. some asian work like a dragon and a tiger. i just moved here and i dont know too many shops around the area and i dont want to do to some sleeze bag shop because im getting a fairly large back piece done. ive been to CRUZ CREATIONS in san jose and HUMBLE BEGINNINGS in san jose. The owner of cruz creations seems to be a pretty good artist while humble beginnings have some of their own good artists. none of which seem to do much asian work. anybody have advice?

edited to add the tomomeister.
www.horitaka.com
that's the website for the studio.
or check out yutaro @
www.primalurgesf.com / http://www.lifeonly.net (his personal site)
(just a heads up, they never answer the shop phone @ skull&sword ((formerly primal urge)) so hit him up on his cell or myspace.

Horiyuki/Jill Bonny from State of Grace also. She should be the first western female artist in the world to get the Hori in front of her name from japanese tattoo masters.

state of grace is in san jo, primal urge is in sf. im pretty sure primal will have a wait, not quite sure about state of grace. FWIW, aaron bell is coming to san jo from seattle in february to get some work done from horitomo, so you know horitomo is no slouch.
Yutaro actually went to Horitomo to get tatted on his bday. Horitomo has been taught to tattoo in the traditional ways.yodaddynukka wrote: state of grace is in san jo, primal urge is in sf. im pretty sure primal will have a wait, not quite sure about state of grace.
