I am planning on getting a full back piece done here pretty soon. I was planning going down to Cali to have it done at Outerlimitstattoos but the tats going to cost probably 3k to 4k plus 2k to get down there. So I thought I should maybe research someone a little closer that I can maybe drive to. Spending 4k is better then 6k right? :?

But I don't want just "Some tattoo". I want it to be a piece of art. I've seen there work and its great. Any help would be great. Or if there is someone even better in the LA/Costa meca area that would be great too. Thanks

True, it doesn't cost 2k to fly but it does cost about about 1,400 to fly and stay. Plus food and Fun. so maybe 1,700$.
Also have you heard of Tom Renshaw or Bob Tyrrell from michigan. I really didn't research a whole lot of michigan people because I just figured youd have to go to Cali, Miami or Newyork to get a Good tattoo. I have a few buddys that live near LA and they got theres at Outer and look great. Thanks for the help and if you know anything about the two artists I just mentions, let me know. Thanks man

fuck no. good artists are everywhere. Bob Tyrrell recently did a huge rib piece on Brandon Bond that looks amazing. Tom is also a great guy.

What style are you looking to get ?

I want a Gaurdian angel with what I think heavens gates will look like on my right shoulder. Reaper on my left in a grave yard, waiting. With a old iron fence dividing the two. The tattoo has ALOT of meaning behind it to me. Thats it in a nut shell. But I want the detail to be killer. So I want one of the best doing it, You know? So who would you choose?

well then Tyler has the most experience with black and grey portrait style. but I bet his waiting list is ridiculous. I know he just spent a few days down in the Atl.

Renshaw and Tyrrell are both amazing artists. Unless I'm mistaken, Renshaw only works in black/grey and specializes in realistic wildlife and portraits. I would love to be tattooed by either.

Damn, did I write his name wrong. Is it tyler or tyrrell?

I figured I would have to wait a few months to get in but I also that it might be worth the wait.
