| I have a friend that is an artist in his own right. His free hand drawings are a thing of beauty. And he can do this not only with pen and or pencil. But he can also draw using a tattoo gun and indian ink. The gun he built while in prison. Now since he has been out he has been drawing beautiful designs on a few people. These designs are ones he has developed himself. One design he did for a friend took eight seperate sessions and about 3 to 4 hours each session the diameter of the tattoo was 10 inches by 8 inches and took a major part of the friends front thigh to his knee. It included Black, Red, Yellow, and Blue. Now my question is about how much would a tattoo studio charge for something like that. He is also doing a large eagle on another friends chest and when it is finished it will encompass this gentlemans whole chest. If somebody could please give me an idea of some prices it would sure help. Thank you..... |

WHY do people expect to get a quote on something that is already done.....and by someone else........??????
first off.....we cannot SEE what you are asking to get a quote on........we DID NOT do the piece you want a quote on.......we ARE NOT going to do the piece you want a quote on......everyones work WILL BE different, some DRAMATICLY different, in quality and cleanliness..........ect....ect......and dramaticly different in price as well.
example: i have a old painting hanging in my house....about 32x24 and it is an abstarct female form..........what would other artists charge me if they were to do this?
now, without seeing it......can they give me a price? NO, its impossible
do you really EXPECT every artist to give you the same price? NO, it will have a EXTREMELY broad range (even if you do get any price quotes)
the painting may be a rembrant.....worth 1million......am i going to get a million to do the same?.......or it may be done by a 5 year old, and he got a pack of gum for it........so should i get the same?

When this guy infects one of your friends with HIV or Hep., due to using his "prison gun", ask them what it was worth to them.
You are asking us to compare apples and moonrocks. They aren't even from the same planet. A professional in a studio would not hack someone up with a "prison gun" and dirty needles, so how can you ask what we would charge for it? |

 hmmmm the age old $$$$$ game
i often find it hard to price tattoo's at the shop
ya know how do your price something your gonna have FOR_EVER
it's not like you can return the thing or erase and start over.
now since your talking about a friend that is NOT Professional
nor working in a Sterile surroundings and quite possibly
using un-sterlized equipment ,and your thinking of gettin a tattoo
by this friend now that's price-less..............
