|
|
Hi everyone! I'm from the good ole' Peach State; down here in Perry, Georgia. I'm 18 and I guess you can go ahead and say I have three tattoos. I have a cross on my ankle and I have an appointment for next Friday for one on my neck (three letters of the chinese alphabet, B, A, F) and one on my wrist (whnimsuicry, which stands for "When I miss you, I cry").
Let's see, I'm currently in college and my major is Art. I aspire to be a tattoo artist. During my senior year of high school, I started air brushing t-shirts for football games and other things, so most kids at school knew I could draw then. One day, someone asked me to draw up a tattoo so they wouldn't have to wait on the tattoo artist to sketch it out. When I did, they put it in the clear part of their binder. And the next thing you know, I had kids during class wanting me to draw on them. Some people where actually dumb enough to believe they where real. When prom came along, I had started painting things on the shoulder blades of girls, like flowers and stuff, just to add a little extra.
I've even had someone offer to help me buy a tattoo kit and when I got good enough, tattoo them. I declined because I feel like being a apprentice is the best route.
So yeah, that's about it. Adios! |

I currently am attending Middle Georgia College in Cochran, and I'm in my second semester. I'm tranferring in the fall to another school, I've been accepted to Wesleyan College in Macon and The Art Institute of Atlanta, but I'm really shooting for Savannah College or Art & Design. So, it really depends on if I get into SCAD before I decide where I'm going.
I'll try to post some of my art work soon.

Apparently, that's just proof Georgia isn't the only state in the south full of ignorance. I think sweetsubversive was referring to the fact that I'm actually using my head. When I said I'm an art major, that means I'm studying what people put on their arms, and that I'd rather be an apprentice before fucking up anyone's arm trying to do it on my own.
I see it's true that some people just jump into it and some come out fine in the long run, but I'd rather do it right. If you would have actually compare what sweetsubversive said to what I stated, you would have been thinking. When you don't think, you're considered dumb, or at least absent-minded. People from Georgia would expect that from someone who lives in North Carolina. And to say someone is a dumbass is a pretty big statement for someone who didn't put an apostrophe in 'they're'.. I guess that's why Georgia sits on top of Florida.
That's out of my character to jump down someone's throat. But there wasn't a tangible reason for you to diss someone's post.
Hate on it if you please.

| Welcome to the freak show. Your original post suggests you read the stickies and were well prepared to post. Your introduction was very well written. But your last post suggests you haven't read anything at all. These guys do this shit all the time. Hang in there. |

They're just fucking with you, chill. Everyone on here messes with everyone else it doesn't really get personal unless you take it there.
I wish you luck with school and you should definitely post some of your art, I'd love to see it. Are you trying to goto SCAD in Savannah or the Atlanta campus??? Art Institute is also a great place, and if you're still kind of looking around Georgia at art schools I've heard great things about Portfolio Center.
Have a look around the site I'm sure you'll realize that everyone here is a prick in a good way |

i'd like to apologize officially to avienne (sp).. my bad cuz... and who ever else was trying to, and did, bust my balls.. lol...
idk what the flip i was thinking.. i just got all out of hand for real. now that i think about it, i think it was something to do with the person whom i'm in a relationship with, on the other side of the phone at the time.. lol.. and i guess it's partly that 18 year old attitude.. i apologize once more and thanks for putting me in my place..
and yes, I'm sort of (alot) embarrassed..
but yes.. i'm going for the Atlanta campus. i feel like if I'm already in ATL when I graduate, I'll have a better chance at getting a job in the field, because of the possibilities in ATL. I'm steady trying to get those pictures. Although, I'm sort of thrown off now.. my mom is persistant in getting me to go to Wesleyan in Macon and today I visited the campus and met the art professor and he gave me like a book on women who graduated with master's in art from the school and what they do now and such.. and it's quiet tempting. I'm sort of leaning to it because it's close to home and Macon's not a unknown territory like ATL is to me. So, if I do go to Wesleyan, I could always get my master's from SCAD right?
And for a side discussion, does getting a tattoo on your wrist or back of your neck hurt less than on your ankle?
I have a tattoo there and getting it didn't hurt that much but.. i'm sort of nervous about my wrist tattoo i'm getting friday. can someone ease my mind? |

| Why dont you hold off on the wrist tattoo till you decide which path you are going to pursue??? How many of the impressive women who graduated with master's in art from the school had tattoos on their wrists.. Theres few jobs that are condusive to visable hand tats... Ask Aiv.... |
