i got my first tattoo at 17 in my ex-boyfriend's bedroom with a home-made tattoo gun machine... ) : sorry
i know.
i know.
it was a little heart near my hip
got it redone, and added more to it at 18. and just kept it up. ( :

I got my first tattoo was when I lived in the USA in Palm Beach, Florida. (in case you don't know I'm South African)
I was 20. I saw a guy in the Walmart with an awesome portait leg piece (portrait of his wife and kids) and asked him where he'd had it done. He gave me Nina Rose's name and number and I got one of my housemates to drive me up to see her. So I'm hugely sentimental about that tattoo...reminds me of a remarkable time of my life.

my first tattoo was at the tender age of 49...better late than never, right? it was my taurus bull and it was amazing...big and bold, nothing subtle about it....i was nervous, of course, but something more than that....it was like stepping into another world...corny, but true....the moment those needles touched my skin, i was hooked...simple as that...i was already thinking of my next before i was done with my first....and i haven't looked back since....i've got my pinup girl booked for next week...and who knows what's next??? but the first was the best....an initiation into this wonderful world of ours....i wouldn't trade that for anything....
