In the market for a new artist. Heard good things about this guy in Tulsa, and I like his work. But I'm not always the best at critiquing the technical aspects. So, I though I'd see what you guys think of his stuff.

personally...I think a couple of his 1/2 sleeves look decent. Other than that, just average.

just my opinion

I wouldn't get any Japanese done by him. I am a bit too ignorant of the other styles to comment there. Generally unimpresseed though.

Ok, so I'm close to giving up on finding a good TA around this area. I'm guessing maybe the fact that it just became legal in Oklahoma not too long ago might have something to do with it...

I've started looking around the Dallas area; it's not that far of a drive, especially when we're talking about ink. What's your opinion on the work done at Elm Street Tattoo? Any other shops in the area that you would recommend?

you know what, good shops are hard to find. i'll tell you why.

not everyone advertises like a mad man. that being said, you can probably pass by an awesome shop and never know about it. take my shop for an example: in the ghetto, in a ghetto building, with not even a neon sign at night. my shop still produced artist worthy of guest spoting every month at all or nothing.

you would NEVER know we exist.

try to hit inkednation and myspace. great ways to look at multiple portfolios in little time.

good luck.
