I've been torn by this thread. As a group, the regulars here tend to be pretty harsh to some newbies, especially if there is even a hint of "scratcher" or complete "tool n00b" in them. I have been guilty of that, as well.

There are a couple of her pieces that I actually like. The blue cross is one and I can't remember the other. There are some pieces of hers that I don't really care for. However, I'm not an artist. Never claimed to be one, and I never will. I know what I like when I see it.

I can see why Ringo lashed out in her first reply in this thread. It was about her being a scratcher. If she is in a shop and apprenticing, her response would be like that, as any one of the regulars in here would if they were in the same circumstance.

Okay… here we go. I am sorry that I called you a guy, I didn’t happen to notice your breasticals in the pictures… and the guys name “Ringo” helped out a shitload also. So now that I know Ringo is a girl I have it straight.

The picture I had linked on the first post was at the work-station.
Now here is a scratcher education for you… we don’t usually give technical posts here but, I will make an exception for you.

1. You should not have a cloth curtain in or around the station… it promotes cross-contamination.
2. You should never leave contaminated paper towels on the station.
3. Your spray-bottles should be covered with a barrier of some sort… it prevents cross-contamination.
4. Your machine was set on the part of the desk that is now contaminated so now the machine and clip cord is now contaminated. Should have had a barrier on both… that prevents cross-contamination.
5. I hope you decontaminated that ghetto “armrest” bookshelf.
6. last but not least the carpet. You might want to take the carpet out of the room. That is a cross-contamination nightmare.

You might want to tell your boss and get this shit fixed, and start thinking about what and how you do it… after all it is only disease you could be spreading.

Now for the not so nice part… if you wanna be so militant about this I can follow suit. Don’t think that I am not educated, don’t think I can not read and don’t think you are getting over on anybody. If you want go down this road, go ahead.

Here you go dear, these are the laws for the state you are in. I haven’t read the whole thing but I have seen enough to get your shop shut down in about 10 minutes. I know who governs and inspects the area that you are in.

http://www.tattoodesign.com/tattoo_laws/country/United_States/Wisconsin/1.htm

These are a few highlighted points for you…

1. Remember your carpet?

HFS 173.06 Physical facilities and environment

(1) FLOORS. Floors in the area where tattoo or body--piercing procedures
are performed shall be constructed of smooth, durable and non--porous material
and shall be maintained in a clean condition and in good repair. Carpeting is
prohibited.

2. Remember your paper towels?

(Cool REFUSE. Easily cleanable waste containers with non--absorbent,
durable plastic liners shall be used for disposal of all tissues, towels, gauze pads
and other similar items used on a patron. Infectious waste, including sharps
waste, shall be stored and disposed of in an approved manner consistent with subch.
II of ch. NR 526.

3. Remember your spray-bottle?

(c) Tattooists shall use single--use plastic covers to cover spray
bottles or other reusable accessories to minimize the possibility of transmitting body
fluids or disease during application of tattoos to successive patrons.

Now I have just pulled this from the link to the tattoo laws in your state… if you want to get high and mighty... you go right ahead but, you are still a scratcher to me. Now do you want to open your mouth and bury yourself anymore?

God I hate scratchers.

Yea, I don't really know where you actually see the carpet, but in all the pics...the dark floor is not carpet. There is carpet in the waiting area (which happens to be a light color) and yes it has been health department regulated. I understand where you are coming from in your hate for scratchers and what they do. I get it. But I assure you I am not a scratcher, I have never tattooed out of anywhere that wasn't a licensed shop, and I never will. The shop that I currently work in may not be up to your standards and yes, it has things about it that I don't agree with. But I am learning my way and things not to do to be the best artist I can be. Not that it's any of your business....

I've gone through every photo and I'm still trying to find carpet. Where do you see it?

I'm just going to point out that those are not his standards, but rather the state health standards that you currently work in.

Other than that I say keep on truckin. You're new at it and are under a mentor. If you update yourself on your contamination and health guidelines you should be alright.

You can help make changes too. I'm in Arizona and they do not require spore testing. So the shop I'm apprenticing at hadn't done them. They do them now because I hassled him on it. Told him it was the right thing to do. In tattooing you can teach each other things no matter what your level.

You'd think they'd want to bag them at least for the machines sake.

I see the douchebag that started all this still hasn't given up....funny thing is ringo is probably way better than this dragon homo, and way younger...isnt that funny how that works..and he's so observant to notice he was really a she ...and was getting a hard on for the whole "we artists see shit noone else sees" trip, real observant there buddy... Like I said before, I hardly doubt the insecure rockstars will ever be able to fill the shoes of all those scratchers...I know a guy in my area whos story sounds just like this dragon fuckhead, a new guy came to town and there was a pissing contest for territory. To make a long story short the old favorite went to the new guy's shop and tried running him off with his "non scratcher piercing apprentice" and a baseball bat. The old "expert" (whose a tool fkn hack like most on here bitching) got his nose broken right along with his buddy. The old salt still has the fucked up nose and scars to prove how stupid people can be sometimes. Unlike most of you morons here that will fight "scratchers" to the death, I at least had some respect for the old salt to go out and get his ass kicked instead of hiding behind the internet like you pansy ass fuckers do nowadays. This would not have been the "industry" you love so much nowadays without television and bs reality TV bullshit that goes along with it. Chances are, without your "artist" status, in your small towns, you stand little chance of badassedness anywhere. I, for one would not piss on half of you sissy motherfuckers' asses if your guts were on fire...........Good day
