|
|
| I'm getting a full back piece done in a few months. I can't afford 300$ an hour but I found another artist that is very good also in CA. I go to cali once a year anyways so I am planning it around that. I can't afford first class so that isn't an option(I looked). Has anyone got a back piece and taken a 4 hour flight home or any flight for that matter. I'm a little nervous about that shit. I don't care for flying in the first place so how much pain will I be in. Will I be able to sit back or am I going to be fucked and sitting forward the whole time? |

| You'll be fine. If you're really that sore, you lean gently into the seat and just keep your back planted. Or you can just sit sideways using your shoulder as a brace. Up to you. Either way, the bottom line is this: Do what you have to do (to get tattooed) |

| Oh yeah, I am getting it done. I'm just trying to figure out if I would be able to sit back in the seat without it hurting like a bitch or messing it up in anyway. Is that every possible to do as long as I don't ripe off the scab. |

There won't be a scab, one. Second, there is a good chance it will hurt like a bitch.
However, as long as you're not rubbing all up on the seatback, you'll be fine. |

| Might not hurt. Alcohol after a tattoo is not near as bad as before. |

Didn't actually know that. Regardless, though, I would take a Tylenol PM or two before the flight and just sleep/pass out through it. |

The next day. I am flying in a couple of days early so I can actually do something, Without being in pain. Its a sobriety tattoo so I don't think that would be very good to get drunk after I get it. |

Seriously, you'll be fine. I had 6 hours Fri, 6 hours Sat, and then flew home Sunday. Yes, it was my arm, but I had on a peacoat and was carrying like two shoulder bags and had a window seat (tattooed arm). I was swollen, but fine. |

My brother went to Florida to have his back piece filled in. His artist had moved there. He and his family went down for vacation. The last day he was there he had the work done, which was about four hours worth. He then went to the airport, boarded a plane and flew home on a two and half hour flight. He said he had some discomfort, and the flight seem to last forever.
He said it was well worth it and would definitely do it again. |
