Okay, we've got a nice list of artists, how bout shops? What are some of the mostly renowned shops in the world? I mean the kind of shops you can walk into and get most any style or design imaginable and at the highest quality available in the world? Any shops like that?

Yeah, MINE!

But seriously, I'm not sure if a tattoo utopia actually exists anywhere. Really depends on where you are in the world and what style you are looking for. Many of the very best shops specialize in one particular style and that's what they are known for.

Look at that list of best tattoo artists and look up where they work. You're bound to find a pretty good list of shops.

It's not the restaurant it's the cooks in the kitchen.

Okay, I will ask another way. For the tattoo artists out there.

Which shop would you most like to work at?

I would like to imagine that most tattooists set up their OWN shop like they want. Perhaps I don't have a half pipe and petting zoo in my waiting area...or even a stage for Gwar to vomit slime all over my clients...or even a 90,000 cubic inch plasma screen next to my fullsized replica of Niagra Falls...but it works. We do good clean tattoos there dispite lacking all of those important features.
I mean...I'd really LOVE to have a log flume next to the rollercoaster...but we went and wasted the cash on cleaning supplies and...well....tattoo equippment, of all things.

No wolf....10 years to build a half-pipe, side-room arcade, Tiki lounge, A three screen theater, a full-sized concert hall, and, of course, a Petco, so people can have their dogs and cats tended to while they wait/get tattooed.

I'm thinking of turning my full scale model of Niagra Falls into a water/theme park. I can consolidate the pirana tank and the snake cages, and just have a drive through safari. People can feed the hairless cats to the bengal tigers for a nominal fee.

I must admit I've had this idea. For a restaurant. The Tattoo Cafe. Like a Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, or Harley Davidson Cafe. The servers are fully sleeved, tattoo stuff everywhere, food named after tattoo shit, you know the full exploitation. With my chef experience I could totally pull it off and make a bundle. But I couldn't stand working there.
