Had this design planned out for going on 5 or 6 years now and finally decided to get it done. Drew it out and took it in. The artist was extremely polite and great to work with despite this being my first tattoo and the placement being very visible (took a bit of convincing on my part). UV ink purchased through Chameleon.
(unlike some, I don't expect to have a truly "invisible" tattoo and expect scarring, so I'm not going in totally blind only to cry in 6 months when my "invisible tattoo" is not at all inconspicuous. we'll see how it heals and if it retains its' design or fades out/warps with age.)
[apologies for quality, my friends were trying to use my hefty camera while he was working and didn't hold it still enough. it looked REALLY bloody afterwards and worse in the photo since I had to sharpen the image.]
FRESH:
2 DAYS LATER:
My friend was also tattooed with the UV ink and I loved how it turned out, so does he:

I don't think putting anything in your body that glows is a good idea.
but...your choice totally.
some people think im crazy for putting ink in my body at all.

I think it would be better if the bones were the approximate size of your bones. It just looks like you have a baby skeleton arm on top of yours.
was just what i was thinking..mshaf wrote:I think it would be better if the bones were the approximate size of your bones. It just looks like you have a baby skeleton arm on top of yours.

*shrug* To each their own I guess. It's not supposed to be a human skeleton, it's a dog skeleton. When I did mock-ups of it going completely down my fingers you couldn't tell if it was canine or human. Not the best in the world but I like it.
We all have to stop thinking the same... lol
Oh, and without you telling me, I had no idea that was a canine skeleton.

I figured it was hard to tell. :/ I had trouble when I drew the sketches because I drew a human skeleton and a dog skeleton side-by-side and my drawings weren't very different. Oh well, if it heals like it should then it won't matter much unless under blacklight anyway.mshaf wrote:We all have to stop thinking the same... lol

Harr harr, buttwheat.
I like dogs. Thought it would be different than going with a human skeleton.Jadesauce wrote:Just curious, why did you decide on a canine skeleton instead of human?
