Not having a who lot of knowledge on what tatt styles go with what, I have to ask this question:
Will it look weird ( mainly thinking of people who know a tiny bit about tattoing +++) to have an asian styled tatt on your arm and a traditional swallow & banner on the chest? |

I sure hope so, I've got a guitar next to a oriental dragon and the tattoo police haven't got me yet! _________________ Just a common man tattooing the common man! |

| Haha, well I don't have a clue what goes with what, so I'm just trying to find out if this is something highly uncommon, if it would look band etc. |

being that a tattoo is a matter of personal choice, do you really care about what other people think of your inkwork, really? if you like the concept and have found a decent artist, do what you want, you have to wear it for the rest of your life, forget about what's popular at the moment. go for quaility, not what's happening at this moment in time, anything is possible. IMO tattooing/tattoos should not be a statement of fashion..... _________________ Think BEFORE you ink, its gonna be on your hide for a very long time |

| Of course I will get what I want, just curious if there are any styles that suit asian better than others, or if you first get one asian styled tatt, you should keep it in the same style to make it look as sleak as possible, or if it don't make shit difference. |

Trad Japanese work and trad american work been being mixed since the mid 70's (and has been done in reasing so since the late 90's or so). The 2 styles fight well together, as both rely on the sam ebasic principals :
- Bold outlines
- Large swatches of black shading
- More simplified color work
The styles are similar, and the mixing of the iconographies of both can, when done well, work and work fine. _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

| I wouldn't mix the styles, but I've seen Americana and Japanese themes work decently together. |
