| What's your favorite album? I would have to say Vulgar Display of Power. |

I actually really dig Pantera, but I know dozens of people that SEVERLY dislike them for a miriad of reasons (poor guitar tone, guitar wanker-y, Phil's declining vocals by the later albums, immature lyrics, and the list goes on).
fav record? I'd say it depends on the day. I've actually been listening to "trendkill" a lot lately, but, before that, it was more "Driven". The only one I don't listen to much is "Steel". _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

| The only songs that I really listen to on reinventing the steel are revolution is my name and yesterday don't mean shit. I think vulgar display of power has the best songs on it, but I also like far beyond driven too |

I listened to "steel" a bit when it was first released, and, as it stands now, I think the only songs i still listen to from it are "I'll Cast a Shadow" and "Death Rattle".
"Vulgar" was THE Pantera record, IMO. CFH was GOOD, don't get me wrong, but it still has some of the glam left-overs of the pre-"Power metal" stuff. "Vulgar" just kicked the door open. "Driven" and "Trendkill" are both great as well, but at points they almost feel like their trying too hard to be "brutal" and "ultra aggressive" and come off as flat.
"Steel" just has a weird vibe to me. The production's too slick, and Phil sounds like he's in "Down" mode for a lot of the record. It's a shame that record ended up being their last. _________________ Just a small guy trying to get by... |

| Vulgar is their stella album, far beyond was great but was always gonna be hard to outdo vulgar. trendkill is a good album just darker and not so structured then their previous but Pantera kick arse except for when they use to wear tights and play glam. |

101 Proof for me. I know it sounds like a cop-out but I never got to see them live and it's way better than a lame "best of" cd.
Never really got into "Steel" although it is good. But after Trendkill I kinda shut them off. Much Like Metallica after the black album. _________________ please don't call it a gun. guns kill people.
