Getting it on the underside of left forearm. Probably 3 1/2 - 4 inches long. I know that I shouldn't get someone elses tattoo, but when I saw this it was everything I wanted.(Stars and Music notes) This will be my 2nd tattoo and yeah I'm 16, but I know for a fact I will never regret it, Music will always be in my life. I can sit through a tattoo
Thanks ahead of time ^.^

Something like that would probably run about $80 at the shop I go to.
But prices vary from artist to artist. Go out and get a real estimate. Good luck tho; most shops won't tattoo anyone under 18, even with a parent/legal guardian there.
Lastly, please don't go in asking for an exact copy of that tattoo...that's frowned upon, as it should be. Tell them you want something along the lines of that particular tattoo, but let the artist do their own thing with it. It'll probably turn out better that way anyway...assuming you go to a decent artist and not that kid in your high school art class who just bought a tattoo kit off amazon. _________________ "Be sincere; be brief; be seated" - FDR |

The ones around here won't tattoo under 16. I had to get a tattoo artist in another city to get my first one done. It was only $50 and the guy was very professional and had many years of experience, very sterile. I make sure the person has a good reputation and i take a look around the parlor before I make any decisions. I'm not just another stupid teenager just getting a tattoo cause everyone else is.
Just making that clear. I've read a few other posts by 15-16 year olds on here and they sound a bit immature. |

hopefully you can find a artist to do a better job on a similar tattoo. Dont copy someones tattoo. As for cost it most likely be what ever the shop minimum. _________________

Stars? I don't what stars have to do with music at all. If you want music, get music. Don't trash it up with some stars...
And go to someone that knows something about music. There's nothing uglier than seeing music notes with the flags and beams going the wrong way and at the wrong angle. IT"S UBIQUITOUS and it bugs the shit out of me!!!
If you don't know or care what I am talking about...well, then you just don't care do ya? Your artist won't care either.
People see what they think is a simple design and it's not. I've seen people fuck up a pair of dice, becuase they don't know that opposite sides always add up to 7. They'll have adjacent sides showing 3 and 4, or 5 and 2, or 1 and 6. Which will never happen!
Music notes -- similar thing. There's a right way to do it. |

i'm sure you didn't make this post to be made fun of but when a 16 yr old says 'i know for a fact i will never regret it' some people will beg to differ....and that's only because they know that you 'may' regret it...you may regret a lot of things you do at this age....time will tell...time will tell a lot of things but a tattoo is something that you want to give some serious thought to....it's gonna be with you for life....not much else you can say THAT about....barring laser treatments, of course... ...so please don't take offense to someone questioning your lifelong dedication to the tattoo of your choice at the ripe old age of 16....your words may come back to haunt you...go to a good artist, discuss what you'd like and go with your gut....and hope it's something that you'll like as much when you're 26, 36, 46.....you get the idea.... _________________ life is short...don't waste it |

I had originally drawn something like this:
But instead of the circle at the end, they would have been stars. I don't care if you think stars have nothing to do with music, and no I don't want just music. I wanted a way to combine two things I like into one tattoo. And I know how notes are supposed to look, i play piano >< I basically want my tattoos to represent me, and I am a random, crazy person. As long as I like it, i could care less what other people think, Its on me, not them. |

okay, I'm gonna ask the inevitable question here that everyone is thinking but didn't ask...so this artists, while clean, sterile and professional, did you get your parents to sign a release? almost all states require a parent signature for under 18....just my question. _________________ "The Garden Hose does not seek completeness, nor does it regret the past, like all true Masters of Zen, the Garden Hose simple is, yet without being or non-being.
