lovin the design man the way the flowers flow with the mask is real tight. As far as color suggestions, some really dark black shading, an deep red on that mask would be tight, an as far as the flower design, just dont make the flowers girly. Dudes who get flowers tend to get roses or if there regular flowers in black an white, atleast the ones i know. if the flowers are colored on guys they seem to be traditional, but idk if that would go well with the mask depending on what color it is. if its a dark theme overall with the deep red an black like i was talking about, then you could get some crazy deeo red an black flowers almost as if theres blood on em, but again idk what ya like er what the mask color will be. usually the aritsts know whats best or give you reccomended options, just be sure to ask, hope this helps! an again post pics!!!!

Thanks guys...and gals. Yeah, when I went in I knew I wanted a japanese peice and wanted ALOT of stuff included in it. A mask, wind, water, clouds fire, a few different flowers etc...He told me it was way too much and said simpler was better. At first , when we were in the discussion phase I was not to jazzed about the Oni being the bulk of the tattoo but now that it's on it's way, I'm glad I trusted my artist and let him go with it. What I "thought" I wanted or thought was a japanese sleeve woulda just been a mess. As I stated in an earlier post, my artists' philosophy is simple when it comes to tattoos. Make them big so you can tell what it is from across the street, lots of color and contrast and do simple but effective backround. Don't let the backround/fill confuse the main focus.
TRUST YOUR ARTIST...LOL
BTW...I go back in on Oct. 18 to finish the outline and start shading. PUMPED |
