 I want to get my mother and fathers names on my feet in another language but I am worried about it being done wrong and then not meaning anything. Does anyone know of a good place to go where they know what they are doing??? |

Sid's right on. If you can't make it to your local university, then hit either your local library or local bookstore, as they'll have informational texts on languages.

Is there a reason behind wanting it in a foreign language?
I know a number of people who have certain things written on them from pats of the rworld they have no idea about and to me i just dont get it.
I am a slight hipocrite as i have script written in a dialect thats usd in the borneo Jungle. But it means something to me and im connected to it. I dont think id have chosen to do it in say swahili if i had no connection to the culture is all. |

I'm getting a wristband the 29th.
It will be a phrase, in latin .
There are some reasons people do this; I personally like latin because is one of the symbols of my continent. I like how it sounds, I like its history.
And I like the fact that it is a death language.
Furthermore, there is another reason. The phrase I'm getting is truly meaningful to me, but I may not like anybody who see me around the street to know what is as meaningful to me, what are my feelings.
So well, those are my reasons, although there will be a lot of people with a lot of different reasons as well. |

idk, but me and my friend, being white, talk spanish to eachother, what i remember atleast. and she wants a tattoo in spanish. maybe its just bcause theres such a huge ammount of hispanics in our city weve just grown to it, but we love the language.

Sorry my friend, I see that I offended you with my ignorance. English is not my first language and sometimes I make mistakes. 
I'm sure that you speak my language, basque, without any little mistake, and I bet that you even talk it better than me.
Sorry again , but yould have realized that not everybody can reach your culture and intelligence.
Besides, I'm just an engineer, what could I know?

Love Spanish? Move to Mexico and weigh out an illegal. I speak the language quite fluently and almost never use it because of all the damn illegals I have to deal with on the daily. Mexicans don't bother me, the illegals that don't want to learn English do.

Yeah. Texas. And you're in AZ, I believe. We know. Nothing wrong with Mexicans. It's those who come to the US to work - or just live (parasites) - illegally - and refuse to so much as speak our language who are irritating.
I imagine anyone who lives in TX, NM, AZ, or CA is familiar with these types. I know I am.
