Hey...OK...My mom pasted away in 1998, and I wanted to get a tattoo in memory of her?? Any suggestions??? I know there are many, but maybe someone out there has a different idea. Thanks.

No one knew your mother like you did. What are some things that remind you of her?

Hi.. I am also looking for a memorial of my mom.. She is dying of cancer and I need to find a PERFECT pink rose with stem and leaves on it that looks real.. I have looked in ALL the tattoo magazines I can find and was told that I cannot use someone else's design for my purpose.. I can not draw that well and do not know anyone in my area that can without spending $100's just for the design alone. Can anyone help me??

As for a suggestion, if she liked purple and roses, you could do a purple and lavendar rose.. There are multi-colored roses like that now. I have one in my roses garden now.. Very pretty..

Bettybaldock, any good custom artist will draw up anything
you want, usually at no cost as long as they do the tattoo.
Tat2, you could get a portriat of your mom with roses in
the shape of a heart around it. All kinds of possibilities.
Just give it some thought. Best Wishes!

I have asked the only 2 tatoo shops in the area if they could draw up the design for me and was told by BOTH shops that it will cost me $25 for the design because they have to use their tatoo paper and pens(ink) etc.. Are thy just scamming me?? If so, I do NOT wish to have either shop do a tatoo on me..
As for the design, I have taken copy paper and copied a pink rose out of a gardening magazine. Doesnt look right.. I dont see how ANYONE can draw anything like that.. I've seen it done on Miami Ink.. But GEEZ, its harder than you think..

No your not getting scammed. Some artists charge, some
don't, depends.
Just make sure the artist is good. Check out work they did on other people. Best of luck!

Of course, I can draw, but I wouldn't be able to guarantee that the rose would be perfect...
If you would like, I can try, though.

EDIT: Problem is that, even if I did it 'perfectly', the tattoo artist might do something differently and possibly mess it up... That's probably the main concern... how *they* would draw it opposed to how anyone here would draw it...

Oh thank you very much.. I will concider all possibilities.. As of right now because of the Christmas season, I'm tight on $$$ and cannot afford to have the design done professionally.. However.. If any of you would like to try without costing me anything, then send the design through the mail system here, I would greatly appreciate it or email me at RoadRunnerWoman@hotmail.com..

And thanks again for all your help.. I am glad I found people who REALLY truly care about what I am going through and what my family is going through right now..

Take care and thank you again..

Yeah get your tattoo when you can afford it, even if you
have to save longer. I'm sure you want a nicely done
tattoo, so, pick a artist wisely. Not by price, but, by talent.
If i could draw, i'd help you out. But, i only do stick people...LOL
Best Wishes!

that's why i am getting one tommorrow. in memory of my father. he passed away 5 years ago tommorrow. i remember in high school i was drawing and i decided to take a pen and make a SC palmetto and moon on my ankle. daddy saw it and thought that would be a cute tattoo. so i drew one on my step mom, cuz she was out there at the time he said that. it will remind me of that summer. i miss him everyday. but this will help.
i hope you can think of something that will remind you of her. even if its a rose or something else. whatever you pic will be perfect.
Wink
