The only terms I've heard for pants an suspenders were generally british, with "Tousers and Braces". Aside from that

pants = underwear
suspenders = a part of lingerie

I made a lovely fool of myself about talking to people about my pants wthat had suspenders on them.

In America :

Pants = Trousers, Slacks, Jeans, etc.
Suspenders = Braces, things to hold your "trousers" up

Great thing was, it was on a mission trip and we were supposed to be good little christian kids.. and I'm going on about sexy underwear...

Embarassed

Luckily, one of the scots loved me enough to inform me of what I was talking about.

I dont think the sex pistols are any good at all. lol There lyrics are honstley some of the dumbest shit i have ever read. If i was to label them something rather then just punk then i would have them more on the street punk side where i hate street punk. Those are the kids who go around saying oh yeah im punk cause i wear a leather jacket with studs and am drunk 15 hours a day.I am so punk rock. But i aboustly love punk!..just not street punk. The punk that i like is crust punk, anarcho punk, folk punk. Theres just so many different genres of punk but street punk i never will like. Some of my favorite bands are Antischism, contravene, witch hunt, born/dead, crass, aus rotten, skitsystem, conflict, Propagandhi

As much as I love a pile of crust bands (Seriously, Seeing them in 2000 really changed my view. Caustic Christ is great and all, but not a spot on Aus Rotten), from my experience the Crust kids were ALWAYS more pretentious and annoying than street punk kids.

Sure, the Street Punk kids generally looked goofier, with their super-charged up hair, bondage pants, etc etc., but the Crust kid were always kids from upper middle class background that thought they were the coolest because they didn't bathe and listened to Aus Rottten, Crass, Conflict, or Nausia, and spewed out their ultra-left wing BS political rhetoric at the drop of a hat.

Beyond that, I'll take dumb kids that want to drink and have a good time over people that are too busy preaching and bitching about the world's problems to enjoy the day. Wink

hahaha that was funny, yeah the bathing part. I dont come from a middle class background though, I do bathe though, maybe not as much as some other kids but still do. And a lot of crust kids do drink and do not only talk about there anarchists, communists or socialist viewpoints. But that did make me laugh. For some reason it reminded me of that comic website.

Like I said, I got more pretentious BS from Crusties and PC Hippy Peace-Punks than I previously thoughht was humanly possible, lol.

Eh, that said, there's BS, pretention, and hypocricies in any "scene". That may be why I stopped going to shows, lol.

haha yeah i can understand that. I dont know living in dc, there is a good amount of crusties and also a good amount of street punks but actually not a lot of street punks or crusties around here even do any drugs since there has been such a history of being straight edge in dc. lol but dont worry im not going to spit out my political views and shit haha.

BTW, "Nothing Nice to Say" has been one of my favorite web comics for awhile. Great, biting humor.

Watched this thing on the final 24 hours of sid's life, his mam injected him with the lethal dose that killed him, she put enough heroin in it to kill 2 people. She admitted it in 2006 on her dying bed that she wanted to end his misery as he was terrified of going to jail for the murder of his girlfriend nancy. Just thought I'd share that with ya.
